The Erté Mae Studio is situated an hour from Melbourne in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges township of Olinda. It has been fitted out by Terry and Angie, using recycled and salvaged materials, adding warmth and a sense of story to the space, and providing the perfect space to create.  

In keeping with our desire to minimise waste and hold ourselves separate from the excess that can exist in the jewellery industry, we made a decision early on to primarily make to order. That said, we acknowledge that sometimes planning ahead isn’t possible, hence we keep a selection of our favourites available on our ‘Size O - Ready to go’ page and in store at 3 Olinda Monbulk Road Olinda.

We use recycled precious metals where possible and choose to only work in Platinum and 750/18ct golds.  We recycle all of our studio scrap for reuse and source our precious metals from an Australian company that is transparent in their operations, certified by The Responsible Jewellery Council, and committed to sustainable and ethical practices.

Terrys design aesthetic is both timeless and celebrated. These qualities, combined with premium materials and expert craftsmanship, ensure the providence of your piece and it’s longevity; both with regards to its durability and ongoing desirability. These are rings to treasure for a lifetime and beyond.

We couldn’t bring ourselves to put our branding on a conventional ring box, so we’ve teamed up with Defy Design to create something special. Watch this space! Coming soon we’ll have beautifully designed ring boxes that are made in Australia from 100% post consumer plastic. These beauties will be better for the environment, better for showcasing your ring & pocketable for popping big questions.

In addition, we’ve gone to great efforts to ensure that our packaging is not only beautiful, but kind to the environment. We source from local manufacturers who only use recycled and/or recyclable materials, and our discrete mailer bags and address labels are home compostable.
